Walks and cycle routes from the door, Hadrian’s Wall, the Northumberland National Park and the famous Vindolanda Roman Fort, The Sill Landscape Discovery Centre and the world-famous Sycamore Gap are around 6 miles. South View is just 3½ miles from the Route 72 Cycleway from which to enjoy the spectacular countryside.
The location is excellent for exploring the spectacular scenery of the North of England, the stunning Northumberland coast, the Scottish borderland and the lake Distrtic National Park, which is just an hour away.
Vibrant independent shops, local produce and historic market towns
A visit to the historic market town of Hexham is a must, boasting a stunning abbey, the oldest gaol in the country and an abundance of eclectic shops, restaurants and pubs.
Continue to the beautiful Roman town of Corbridge and meander round its boutique shops, art galleries and antique shops, stop for a coffee or take a stroll along the river. There is an abundance of eateries to choose from.
The vibrant city of Newcastle is under 30 miles away.
