What Our Guests Say

A brilliant cottage in a quiet location and ideal for touring the area with a nearby train station serving both Newcastle and Carlisle. The cottage is finished to a very high standard and complete with EV charging point. Gillian and James were very welcoming. Highly recommended.

The cottage is beautiful, completely refurbished with quality and style. The kitchen is completely fitted out and filled with quality matching utensils. The garden is lovely and well kept and has an external car charger for on site charging if required. Comfort and style abounds in this beautifully restored cottage. The one thing that would have made it perfect - a footstool for resting weary legs in the evening! With the delight of the cows to watch both front and back, especially the two youngsters, they were a treat to watch in the evening and the resident rabbit. It is set in an ideal location for - Vindolanda, Chesters, Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Beamish, Alnwick, Hexham, Morpeth and more. The only thing I would say is if you like to stroll to a local pub, then that is out. You will need to drive in the evening if you wish to go into Hayden Bridge.

Lovely cottage set centrally for all the Roman Wall and Hexham attractions. Also well located for Newcastle Tynemouth and Whitley Bay. Try the butcher in Haydon Bridge for excellent pies.
